Learn how to install a wireless LAN kit in your CL4NX Plus / CL6NX Plus printer with this step-by-step guide.
- Phillips screwdriver (JIS #1 and #2, or equivalent)
- Wrench (size: #10)
Step 1: Power off and disconnect
- Make sure that the product is powered off.
- Disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet.
- Disconnect all interface cables, if any.
Step 2: Remove the interface combo board
- On the rear of the product, remove two screws (1).
- Pull out the interface combo board (2).

- Remove the antenna hole cover (3) from the interface combo board (2).

Step 3: Install the antenna sub
- Insert the wire of the antenna sub (4) through the antenna hole, a washer (5), and a hexagon nut (6).
- Set the antenna sub (4) to match the convex on the bracket.
- Fix the antenna sub (4) by the hexagon nut (6) using a wrench.

Step 4: Connect the antenna sub to the WLAN PCB
- Connect the wire of the antenna sub (4) to the CN1 connector on the WLAN PCB (7).

Step 5: Connect the WLAN PCB to the interface combo board
- Connect the WLAN PCB (7) to the CN7 connector on the interface combo board (2).
- Tighten two screws (8).

Step 6: Attach the antenna
- Connect and tighten the antenna (9) to the antenna sub (4).
- Tilt the antenna (9) to the upright position.

Step 7: Reinstall the interface combo board
- Attach the interface combo board (2) with the wireless LAN installed, to the product.
- Tighten two screws (1).
- Make sure that the interface board is aligned and inserted into the slot. Avoid scraping the board against the top metal catches to prevent damage.
- When using the wireless LAN, adjust the antenna (9) to face upward.
- When transporting the product, make sure that the antenna (9) is facing downward.
Step 8: Apply the WIFI/CCX sticker
- Paste the WIFI/CCX sticker (10) on the front left bottom corner of the product as shown.
