Learn how to install a rotary cutter kit in your CL4NX Plus printer with this step-by-step guide.
- Before the installation, make sure to power off the product and disconnect the power cord.
- Be careful not to touch the cutter blade.
- Phillips screwdriver (JIS #2 or equivalent)
Step 1: Open the top cover and print head
- Open the top cover (1).
- Open the print head (2).

Step 2: Remove the front covers
- Remove two screws (3).
- Slide the front covers (4) and (5) in the arrow direction to remove them.
- The removed front cover will not be used again.

Step 3: Pull out the option cable
- Pull out the option cable (6) from the product.

Step 4: Connect the cables to the relay PCB
- Connect the cutter cable (8) and the option cable (6) to the Relay-PCB (7).

Step 5: Insert and secure the relay PCB
- Insert the Relay-PCB (7) into the product.
- Tighten two Relay-PCB screws (9) to secure it.
Step 6: Attach the rotary cutter bracket
- Attach the rotary cutter bracket (10) to the product.
- Tighten the bracket with three bracket screws (11).

Step 7: Connect the cutter cable to the cutter unit
- Connect the other end of the cutter cable (8) to the base of the cutter unit (12).

Step 8: Align and position the cutter unit
- Place the cutter cable (8) into the groove.
- Align the cutter unit (12) to be attached.
- Align the holes on the bracket with the projections on the cutter unit.
- Ensure that there is no gap between the cutter unit and the product.
Step 9: Secure the cutter unit
- Tighten two screws attached to the cutter unit and two cutter unit screws (13).

Step 10: Attach the cover
- Align the cover (14) with the right side of the product.
- Push the left side of the cover toward the product.
- Move the cover to the left.
- Tighten two cover screws (15) to secure the cover.
