Step 1: Dismantle the printer
Before installing the Bluetooth module, you need to remove certain components of the printer.
- Open the top cover.
- Loosen and remove the two screws on each side of the tear bar.
- Remove the tear bar from the printer.
- Loosen and remove the four screws securing the middle frame.
- Remove the middle frame along with the top cover.
- Loosen and remove the four screws securing the print module.
- Move the print module aside to access the space below the main board.
Step 2: Install and connect the Bluetooth module
Once the necessary parts have been removed, follow these steps to install and connect the module:
- Plug the Bluetooth cable (white connector) into the port on the Bluetooth card.
- Below the main board, locate two screw holes on the lower-right side. Align the two holes on the Bluetooth card with them and secure the card with two screws.
- Plug the Bluetooth cable into J15, the black port located on the lower-right of the main board. Ensure the Bluetooth cable is routed outside (right) of the row of connectors.
Step 3: Reassemble the printer
After installing the module, reassemble the printer by following these steps:
- Reinstall the print module and secure it with four screws.
- Reinstall the middle frame along with the top cover and secure it with four screws.
- Reinstall the tear bar and secure it with two screws.
- Close the top cover.
