Step 1: Dismantle the printer
Before installing the Bluetooth module, you need to remove certain parts of the printer.
- Open the top cover.
- Loosen and remove the two screws on each side of the tear bar.
- Remove the tear bar from the printer.
- Turn the printer over.
- Loosen and remove the four screws securing the base.
- Lift the base and unplug all cables.
- Remove both the base and the middle frame.
Step 2: Install and connect the Bluetooth module
Once the necessary components have been removed, follow these steps to install and connect the module:
- Plug the Bluetooth cable (white connector) into the port on the Bluetooth card.
- On the right side of the printer, locate two screw holes under the top cover switch. Align the two holes on the Bluetooth card with them and secure the card with two screws.
- Reinstall the middle frame.
- Plug the Bluetooth cable into J15, the black port located on the lower-right of the main board.
Step 3: Reinstall the base and the tear bar
After installing the module, reassemble the printer:
- Plug all other cables back into the main board.
- Reinstall the base and secure it with four screws.
- Turn the printer over.
- Reinstall the tear bar and secure it with two screws.
- Close the top cover.
